Our Net
Zero Targets
In 2024, EQT met its net-zero commitment for Scope 1 and Scope 2 GHG emissions across all of its legacy upstream operations, plus assets acquired from Tug Hill/XcL Midstream and Alta Resources, which were purchased after setting its original net zero target in 2021.
How We Reached Net Zero
Preserving the Environment
EQT, West Virginia Division of Forestry, and West Virginia Division of Natural Resources established a public-private partnership to implement USDA conservation management practices across more than 400,000 acres of land in West Virginia to promote the absorption of CO2 from the atmosphere and benefit Appalachia’s renowned forested lands. These efforts are verified by West Virginia University, ensuring economic and environmental benefits to the region.
